Ornaments and small goods for people who live for the mountains, made in California

Two riders, one small studio, a lot of lift laps.

We live in San Diego and spend every spare winter weekend driving up to the mountains. Lodge & Lift started as a way to keep that feeling around the house the rest of the year.

It started on a chairlift

The first gondola was drawn on the back of a trail map on a slow ride up, half as a joke about how the lift is secretly the best part of the day: the quiet, the view, the five minutes before you drop in. Back home it became a model, then a shelf of test pieces, then a small red cabin on our own tree.

Friends asked for one. Then their friends did. So we spent a summer making it properly: a cabin with real door trim and window openings, a snow roof with drips over the edge, skis and a snowboard that press on and off, and a cable grip that clicks into place without a drop of glue.

Made here, when you order it

Everything we sell is designed by us and made in our studio from a plant-based material, then assembled, checked and boxed by hand. Making to order means no warehouse, no waste and nothing sold out in December. It also means we ask for 1-3 business days before it ships.

What we are working on

The gondola is the first piece. The rest of the lodge is on the bench, and new colours of the gondola come first. If you want to hear when something new is ready, the list at the bottom of the page is the only place we announce it.

Small promises we keep.

Checked by a person. Every window, edge and fit is looked at before boxing. If something slips past us, tell us and we replace it. No photos of packaging required.

Gift-ready, always. A gift box, a card with your note, and never a price in the box.

Easy to reach. We answer every message ourselves, usually the same day.
